A fine French Neoclassical Style silver covered compote circa 1830. The lid is slightly domed with palm leaf finial and a palm leaf collar. The handles are scrolled and end terminate in horse heads. There is a short tubular plinth and a round disk base. The silver is hallmarked on both base and lid. Condition: Excellent. Dimensions: Height 5", 7 1/2". Weight 13.3 Troy ounces.

A fine Continental silver, plique a jour, and guilloche enamel box, circa 1910. The box with a hinged lid decorated with a Greek key border encasing a round guilloche enamel ring in lime green cushioned with a colorful floral plique a jour field. The silver bears makers hallmarks and a 900 silver standard mark. The box is in very good condition with 2 minor enamel losses( minor nicks) in the left and front vertical and left vertical panels. With beautiful, scrolled and trellaced punch work, this handsome candy dish measures 6 1/2" in diameter, and stands 1 3/4" high. It is marked both "Sterling" and 925/1000 on the underside. It is in pristine condition, and was manufactured in the USA c. 1920.
