A fine Nineteenth Century English mother of pearl inlaid papier mache sewing stand, circa 1870. The sewing stand with a lid and case inlaid with mother of pearl. The lidded well is supported on four turned legs joined with a stretcher base. Condition is very good. Dimensions: Height 26", Depth 12 1/2", Width 18".

A Nineteenth Century inlaid papier mache tray adapted as a table. The tray has a serpentine coved edge centering a floral spray painted and inlaid with mother of pearl. The tray measures 24 1/2" x 18", and the height of the tray on the stand is 22". The tray shows the normal crazing of age, but the entire piece is in excellent condition. Manufactured in England, c. 1880.
